Dr. Nimtz was born and raised in Delaware, and as an undergraduate attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with university honors and honors in microbiology. While he attended the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, he was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. He completed his internship and residency in plastic surgery at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Nimtz and his wife spend their time managing six children, enjoying the outdoors, and pursuing interests in literature and languages.
